My name is Ben. Benjamin Arthur Kling. I'm twenty-three years old and I don't need a governess.

I live in Brooklyn, New York, which The New York Times calls “Brooklyn.”

I'm a writer and a comedian. I also compose music and illustrations.

As a hobby, I count upward. I began at 1 but I've made, I think, considerable progress since then.

I've worked for CollegeHumor, Frederator Studios, BustedTees, SparkNotes, and a host of other respectable and law-abiding clients.

I'm a contributor to ClickHole and to the antique spitoon in my bedroom.

What I write, specifically, are short stories, essays, radio plays, and standup comedy. I also spend a great deal of time composing sample-based music, playing instrumental music (mostly piano), singing (loudly but not skillfully), rapping (skillfully but not loudly), and sneaking into places where I'm not permitted to be.

I also find myself personifying Roombas almost certainly more often than I should.

If you'd like to stay apprised of my doings (try reading the word "doing" as a spring sound effect — "doioioing"), you can follow me on Tumblr or Twitter, or a number of other platforms.
